WhatitDO, family?
I don't really take too much heed, or interest in celebrity interests, as they don't really pertain to me, just as my interests don't pertain to them. I'm good with that, and doesn't change the course of my life, or flavor of my ice cream. That being said, I was particularly intrigued by the reaction to JayZ's business transaction. I see no crime committed. He was called a "sellout" by a few. I don't see it. I'll tell you why; in one of his wack-ass songs (not a fan...he rhymes off-beat, & being old school, I just can't roll with him), he clearly stated his stance and philosophy. "I'm not a businessman, I'm a BUSINESS...man.". You see what he did? He did what every man SHOULD do. Provide for his family. Yeah, sure, he's immeasurably rich. He's now made himself, and his family, immeasurably WEALTHY. We may not ethically agree with what he's done, as some of us feel like he should be supporting specific causes. He IS! His OWN cause. He's guaranteed that his daughters will never have to ride in a pissed-up elevator to take overcrowded public transportation to an underfunded school, in a neighborhood on the gentrification hit list. Far from mad at him for that. What he did was good business, and if you know business, you'll know that there's no room for semantics, or emotion in business. It's all about bottom line, and taking advantage of an opportunity when it becomes available.

He could've sat back, counted his money, and enjoyed his life. He didn't. He's oozing money out of his pores, just on his music alone. Yet, he wanted more. He didn't rest on his laurels. Like I said, far from a fan. Yet I AM a fan of him branching out and finding alternative sources of income, which is what we
ALL should be doing. Got yourself a good job? Great! Just got a promotion? Terrific! Got a raise? Outstanding! Why stop there? Got a hobby, or a pastime that you indulge in on your off- days? Find a way to monetize it! What's better than getting paid well for doing something that you enjoy? JayZ loved HipHop. He did the grind work, hustled, and made himself an icon, banking on his talent. He loves sports, loves business, and put his love of both to work. Now, he's made himself a shot-caller. Why be in the supporting cast, when you can be a headliner? He has no responsibility to anyone other than the family he helped create. No responsibility to you, nor to me. That's on US. He, in his endeavours has shown you the blueprint for success (isn't that the name of one of his wack-ass songs, or albums?). Envision, and implement, family. Stop waiting for someone to give you anything. Blaze your own trail, and when you get to your desired goal, KEEP REACHING! As long as you can breathe, you can conceive, believe, and achieve. It's in you. It's IN you. It's in YOU. IT'S in you. Don't get mad at JayZ for succeeding. Get mad at yourSELF for NOT. We're in a time where autonomy is imperative. Doors being closed, rules being changed, opportunities are disappearing as we speak. Make your OWN rules. Don't sit back and relax, if you're not calling your own shots. You can't. If you do, you'll find that the recline will lead to a DEcline.
Get to work, y'all. Build, combinate & consolidate.
I believe in, and love you all!💞💞💞
I really agree with the majority of your stance. I agree that he is a business and he did what he had to do to feed his family and he let it be known exactly who he was and what he was about a long time ago. I think the problem that a lot of people had was that given the state that the black community is in it should never be about one person all about themselves and should be community-minded I guess that's where people were and I think that's what people are not doing for themselves they expect that someone else who has the platform to do so we'll do it in that matter you know what I mean. I think that he has always been who he is now it's that people weren't paying attention to his stance because he wasn't or he didn't have a platform rather and so now that he does and he's out in the spotlight a little more in the political arena doing business transactions and such now it's like we see the side of him that either we were in denial of or we just didn't pay attention to her because he was just Jay-Z the rapper. Now he's crazy the businessman. So while I do agree that a man should provide for his family and do whatever should be done for his family because that's his family and he's making a way for them to live so that they don't have to struggle as they get older being a part of the black community that maybe wear a lot of them so well and he's only about himself etc etc came from

DeleteI personally, love rags-to-riches stories, as most success stories contain extreme struggle or hardships that one has overcome to get to that level of ultimate achievement. Oftentimes, I see where some have adopted the stance where some are obligated to "share the wealth". In a lot of cases, for some, or most, that entails money. While money is a good thing, we need to broaden our scope. Time, & wisdom shared are severely underappreciated commodities nowadays. While I certainly wouldn't bypass JayZ dropping a throbbing check into my hands, having an hours-long sit-down with him, listening to what steps he took to where he arrived, would be even more beneficial, because I would understand what he needed to do, what he sacrificed to get there. We are ALL wealthy...we just don't realize it.
